1. Water therapy
If you have an injured area then place the affected area in warm water. It increases the blood flow into the affected part of the body. After the surgery, submerge the joint in a bucket of warm water.
2. Massage
Massage makes your body and mind relaxed. It is considered the best method of therapy. After the surgery, when the swelling has reduced then massage the joints. It makes the muscles strong and increases the blood circulation.
3. Exercise
You should do the physical activity after the surgery to make the healing process a little faster. It will include walking some extra miles or you can ride an elliptical trainer.
4. Physical Therapy
After the surgery, you can consult a physical therapist. The therapist is going to recommend you a plan which will include some functional movements to get you back on track. It speeds up the process of healing. For example, you have to bend your knees and riding a stationary bicycle for some minutes.
5. Cold therapy
To reduce swelling and pain after the surgery, apply an ice pack. You should place the ice pack for around 20 minutes on the joints.
6. Walking
Walking improves the blood circulation and it will deliver the healing nutrients to the affected area. It also prevents the making of blood clots.
7. Diet
A healthy diet is one of the important parts of the healing process. You should include Vitamin C and Vitamin A in your diet. Vitamin C contains healing components. You need to boost your immune system so that they can prevent the infections from getting into your body.
